Celebrate Valentine's Day with a Seal and Winter Waterfowl Walk at Sandy Hook

Join the American Littoral Society for a romantic wildlife adventure on February 13, 2026

Embrace the spirit of Valentine's Day by participating in a unique Seal and Winter Waterfowl Walk at Sandy Hook on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Hosted by the American Littoral Society, this event offers an opportunity to observe harbor seals and a variety of winter waterfowl in their natural habitats.

Participants will meet at the Littoral Society headquarters, located at 18 Hartshorne Drive, Highlands, NJ.

The group will then caravan to prime wildlife viewing locations within the park.

The cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.

To ensure comfort during the walk, attendees are advised to dress warmly in layers, including hats and gloves, and to wear comfortable walking shoes.

Binoculars are recommended for optimal wildlife viewing.

While the event is scheduled during peak times for seal and waterfowl activity, sightings of these wild animals cannot be guaranteed.

In case of hazardous weather conditions or low attendance, the Society reserves the right to cancel the event.

Participants will be notified by the end of the prior business day if a cancellation occurs.

For more information or to register, please contact [email protected].

Celebrate this Valentine's Day by connecting with nature and experiencing the diverse winter wildlife that calls Sandy Hook home.
