The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Bike Bash, a cherished community event dedicated to promoting bicycle safety and fun for local youth.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 2, the event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the Silver Lake parking lot.
Children from kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to participate in a variety of activities designed to enhance their cycling skills and knowledge.
One of the highlights of the day is the BMX stunt show by Dialed Action, set to dazzle attendees at 1:30 p.m.
In addition to the stunt show, the Bike Bash will feature bike safety information sessions, skills courses, a bike repair station, and an array of food and refreshments.
Participants who register in advance will be eligible for exciting prizes, including a free bike giveaway.
Permission slips and registration forms have been distributed to students in the local schools and are also available at the police department.
To be considered for the prize drawings, completed forms must be returned by April 27.
However, children are welcome to join the festivities on the day of the event as well.
The police department is also seeking prize donations from local businesses and organizations.
Those interested in contributing can contact the department via email or phone.
