Great White Shark Sighting Near New Jersey Shores

Featuring updates on new jersey lottery top dogs and jersey dog scratch-off tickets

A nearly 9-foot-long great white shark named Nori was recently detected several miles off the Jersey Shore, between Ocean City and Sea Isle City. This marks the first such sighting in the area this spring. Nori, a juvenile female, was tagged by researchers in Nova Scotia last October and has been tracked migrating northward. Her presence near New Jersey waters underscores the ongoing movements of these apex predators along the East Coast.

In other news, the New Jersey Lottery has unveiled its latest scratch-off game, the "Jersey Dog" ticket, featuring 18 real dogs from across the state. These "Top Dogs" were selected from thousands of entries submitted by proud pet owners. Each winning canine's photo, name, and hometown are prominently displayed on the tickets, which are now available statewide. This initiative marks the first time the public has contributed to the design of a New Jersey Lottery scratch-off, celebrating the unique bond between residents and their beloved pets.

Among the featured dogs is Bear from Hamilton, whose selection has brought immense pride to the local community. The "Jersey Dog" scratch-off offers players the chance to win cash prizes up to $200,000, combining the excitement of the lottery with the charm of New Jersey's canine companions.
