New Jersey Shore Restaurants to Explore in New Jersey Shores

Highlights include a Bradley Beach sandwich shop and ice cream delivery options

April showers may bring May flowers, but this year, they also ushered in a wave of exciting culinary developments along the New Jersey Shore.

From innovative sandwich shops to late-night ice cream deliveries, the local dining scene is buzzing with new additions.

Here's a roundup of the latest food and dining news that has locals and visitors alike eagerly anticipating their next meal.

Boardwalk Bandit Sandwich & Soda is set to make its debut in Bradley Beach this May.

Located at 200 Ocean Ave., this new eatery promises a nostalgic experience with scratch-made sodas carbonated and canned on-site.

Patrons can look forward to flavors like vanilla cream soda and egg creams, alongside a menu featuring a Jersey tomato sandwich, double smash burger, plant-based crab cake sandwich, and a unique hot dog served with peppers, onions, and fries in pizza bread.

Primarily a takeout spot, it will also offer patio seating for those who prefer to dine al fresco.

In Red Bank, the dessert scene is heating up with the arrival of Scoop N Scootery at 21 E. Front St.

Originating from Boston, this ice cream shop is renowned for its over-the-top sundaes and late-night delivery service.

With 70 different sundaes on the menu, including the "Thick Mint" and "Fudge Judy," it's a sweet tooth's paradise.

This marks Scoop N Scootery's first foray into New Jersey, bringing its decadent treats to the Shore.

For those seeking a classic ice cream experience on the go, Jersey Freeze has launched its own ice cream truck.

With established locations in Freehold Township, Holmdel, and Colts Neck, the iconic shop is now bringing its beloved soft-serve and novelties directly to events, breweries, and festivals.

While it won't operate as a traditional neighborhood ice cream truck, it will serve milkshakes, chocolate-dipped cones, and other parlor favorites at various gatherings.

In Seaside Heights, Chef Mike Jurusz is making a comeback with Chef Mike's Legacy.

After the closure of his previous restaurant, Chef Mike's ABG, in late 2025, Jurusz is opening a new fine-dining establishment at the Hershey Motel, located at 1415 Boulevard.

With a focus on elevated hospitality and a seasonal menu featuring favorites like scallops, sea bass, and crab cakes, the restaurant aims to offer a refined dining experience just in time for summer.

Oceanport is welcoming Maple House, a breakfast, lunch, and brunch spot set to open in early May at RiverWalk Center.

Replacing the previously planned Perkins Griddle & Go, Maple House will serve a variety of omelets, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, skillets, fresh-baked pastries, and its own branded coffee.

With a second location planned for Neptune, it's poised to become a go-to spot for morning and midday meals.

In Toms River, Tommy's Tavern + Tap has opened its first Ocean County location at 1279 Hooper Ave., replacing the former TGI Friday's.

The family-run chain offers a rustic and industrial ambiance, serving lunch and dinner with an extensive menu that includes small plates, soups, salads, burgers, pizza, flatbreads, sushi, and poke.

With nearly 40 tables and a large bar area, it's set to become a local favorite.

Bradley Beach is also set to welcome Bev Shack, a new venture from Abby Taylor, co-founder of Playa Bowls.

Specializing in "dirty sodas"—sodas mixed with syrups and creams—Bev Shack will offer unique flavors like Sprite with orange and vanilla cream, and Diet Coke with coconut and fresh lime.

Located at 801 Main St., the shop plans to open in late May, adding a refreshing twist to the local beverage scene.

Finally, Toms River is set to get a taste of Korean-inspired cuisine with the opening of SFC Seoul Fried Chicken at 3101 Route 37.

Replacing the former Big Dogs restaurant, SFC will offer double-fried chicken wings, drumsticks, and tenders in flavors like honey garlic, soy garlic, and sweet and spicy.

The menu also includes chicken sandwiches, sliders, and rice bowls, bringing a flavorful new option to the area.

With these exciting additions, the New Jersey Shore's dining landscape continues to evolve, offering residents and visitors a diverse array of culinary experiences to savor this season.
