💡 Answer to Trivia Question: Asbury Park was founded in 1871 by James A. Bradley, a New York City-based industrialist and brush manufacturer. The city was named after Bishop Francis Asbury, a Methodist bishop. Bradley was a devout convert to Methodism and purchased a 500-acre tract of woodland for $90,000 to develop the seaside resort town. |
