Residents of Asbury Park have a fantastic opportunity to participate in free line dancing classes at the Senior Center every Monday evening. Led by experienced instructor Suzanne Parchment, these sessions are scheduled from March 23 to April 27, starting at 6 PM. The classes are open to individuals of all ages, promoting inclusivity and community engagement.
Participants are encouraged to bring water and a towel to stay comfortable during the sessions. For more information, interested individuals can email recreation@asburypark.gov or call 732-502-5759.
Line dancing is a fun and social form of dance where participants perform synchronized steps in lines or rows. This low-impact exercise is perfect for beginners and experienced dancers alike, offering a great way to stay active and meet new friends.
In addition to the Asbury Park classes, other senior centers in New Jersey are offering similar activities. For instance, the Camden County Board of Commissioners has been organizing free line dancing classes for seniors throughout the county. These lively and engaging classes are designed to keep seniors active, healthy, and connected with others in the community. All classes are free and open to seniors, with registration required on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact Danielle Brocco Saul at 856-374-6012.
Similarly, the City of Linden offers senior citizen line dancing classes. These classes are free for all Linden senior residents and are held at the John T. Gregorio Center. For more details, call the Recreation Department at 908-474-8600.
These programs highlight the growing trend of offering free dance classes and senior center activities across New Jersey, providing valuable opportunities for seniors to stay active and engaged in their communities. |
