Irish heritage celebration at New Jersey Shores

Featuring st patricks day parade and asbury park parade highlights

Asbury Park is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, set to take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

The parade will commence at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and 4th Avenue, proceeding southwest through downtown and concluding at the corner of Cookman Avenue and Main Street.

Attendees can look forward to a vibrant display featuring marching bands, floats, bagpipers, mummers, scouts, dance groups, and local officials, businesses, and charities.

This year's Grand Marshal is Kim Guadagno, former Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey and current President and CEO of the Mercy Center in Asbury Park.

In the lead-up to the parade, several events are planned to celebrate Irish heritage.

On March 5, a Grand Marshal Reception will be held at AP Rooftop from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, honoring Kim Guadagno.

Tickets are available for purchase online.

Parade day promises additional festivities.

Asbury Lanes, located at 209 4th Avenue, will host an after-party starting at 1:00 PM, featuring a performance by Brian Kirk & The Jirks.

Johnny Mac House of Spirits, at 208 Main Street, will open early at 10:00 AM, offering drinks, free pizza, and a lively atmosphere to keep the Irish spirit alive throughout the day.

For those interested in participating in the parade, applications are currently being accepted.

Details regarding fees and registration can be found on the official parade website.

Asbury Park's St. Patrick's Day Parade is a cherished tradition that brings the community together to celebrate Irish culture and the vibrant spirit of the Jersey Shore.

Mark your calendars and prepare to join in the festivities on March 8.
